What to Expect?
The gala will feature a live and silent auction, where guests will have the chance to bid on exclusive art pieces and unique experiences. Proceeds from the event will be directed toward the future establishment of Don't Quit Omniversity, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing a collaborative space where creatives and entrepreneurs can engage in educational workshops, networking events, and mental health awareness programs. This hub will foster creativity and set up young and seasoned professionals for success by integrating art, business, and mental wellness.
"The Metamorphosis Gala is more than just a fundraiser—it's the start of a movement. With Don't Quit Omniversity, we’re not just offering education; we're building a space where creatives can feel safe, collaborate, and grow, both personally and professionally. This gala is our chance to bring people together to support something bigger than us—an initiative that’s built to last and impact lives for years to come," says Cook.
In addition, 10% of the gala’s proceeds will benefit The Real Deal 610, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of the youth in Berks County. The partnership with The Real Deal 610 emphasizes the connection between creativity and mental well-being, offering a holistic approach to empowering individuals through art and community support.
Seleda, Executive Director and Founder of The Real Deal 610, states, "Our youth face challenges that often go unnoticed. The funds raised through this gala will allow us to expand our services and reach more young people who desperately need support. Partnering with Theron and his foundation feels like a perfect alignment of creativity, community, and healing. Together, we’re giving our youth the tools they need to thrive."

Honoring the students representing Berks County local high schools who have completed the Emerging Entrepreneurs Academy Summer Program, as well as the local businesses people who have contributed to the program like Don't Quit Omniversity. Theron Cook Art Don’t Quit Foundation, INC, Don’t Quit Omniversity is an avid mental health and creativity advocate. This month we had a great opportunity to collaborate with Betterview Counseling and Trauma Recovery to create a mural for their new location. Betterview Counseling and Trauma Recovery is a mental health practice dedicated to the effective and evidence-based treatment of a variety of mental health issues. Their aim is to reduce the stigma that is placed on mental health services and bring healthy mindfulness practices and improved mental stability to the forefront.
Betterview conveniently offers telehealth services only at this time and evening/weekend hours are available. They only use evidence-based practices and ensure that strict confidentiality is enforced. You can be assured that receiving services from Betterview is a step in the right direction.

My journey from basketball to fine arts is the soul of our company's story. I poured my heart into basketball, but everything changed when I received a gift of a paintset from my father. That moment ignited a deep passion within me, revealing a new path. Art became my sanctuary, a way to express my emotions and find solace amidst life's storms. I immersed myself in it, painting murals and connecting with the spiritual side of art that resonated deeply within me.
My father's support was crucial. He encouraged my artistic pursuits, from asking me to create a sign for his peanut business to providing me with my first paint set. His belief in my talent was a guiding light, especially during the tough times. Losing my job and facing financial hardships tested my resolve, but I turned to art as my anchor. An internship at Vibe magazine broadened my horizons, showing me the interplay between art and business. Starting my own publications taught me to blend creativity with entrepreneurship, navigating challenges with unwavering determination. Every step of the way, I relied on my motto, "Don't quit!"—a mantra that became my lifeline, guiding me through adversity.
Today, this journey shapes our company's mission. We are growing steadily, devoted to transforming struggles into strengths and using art as a medium for spiritual and personal growth. At BVFW in Atlanta, a conversation with a film director reshaped my understanding of visual art and branding. This encounter highlighted the synergy between fashion and film and the importance of authenticity and emotional resonance in storytelling. It reminded me that interdisciplinary collaboration can unlock new creative potentials.
A project involving live painting and program design further emphasized the power of art in personal reflection and growth. By integrating symbolic elements like flames, light, and numerology, we created a piece that mirrored the host's journey through adversity and resilience.
